Workshops and Showcase Info:

1. Workshop with Alicia Borisonik: Pitching to Presenters
(NOTE: Not a showcase night)

Thursday January 31st, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
National Arts Centre

 

Artists will have the opportunity to learn from experienced presenters and representatives from the Ottawa-based arts organizations about how to present their artistic endeavours effectively. Presenters will have time allocated to discussing what catches their attention, inspires them to program, and opportunities coming up for artists to get involved with them.

 

 

2. Artist Showcase and Workshop with Arts Network Ottawa: Grant and Proposal Writing Basics

Friday March 8th, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Arts Court

 

 

The workshop will focus on getting information about grants, developing relationships with grant officers, drafting/submitting grant applications.

 

 

3. Artist Showcase and Workshop with Manjit Basi: Develop your own road-map/career

Friday May 3rd. 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Arts Court

 

 

This will enable immigrants artists to focus on practical steps in building careers as artists and involve participating arts organizations in sharing experiences with immigrant and refugee artists.
